Topics: NAC, Saskatchewan

Saskatchewan Network for Art Collecting's newest auction is a dispersal auction for the Darrell Bell Art Gallery, with over 150 artworks and gift shop items on offer. Bidding ends December 12th.

Bidding is available through the Saskatchewan Network for Art Collecting dedicated auction site, and through the Invaluable platform.

The Darrell Bell Gallery, which opened in 1998, specialized in contemporary art with an emphasis on Saskatchewan artists, and was an important fixture in the Saskatoon art scene for over two decades. Owner Darrell Bell told the Saskatoon Star-Phoenix in 2000, in starting the gallery, “I wanted to create a wonderful environment of beautiful things.” Darrell Bell, himself a renowned Saskatchewan-born visual artist, died in April this year.

The auction includes many original works by Saskatchewan greats like Joe Fafard, Dorothy Knowles, Allen Sapp, Dorothy Martin, Sanford Fisher, Jack Sures, Doug Bentham, David Alexander, Hans Herold and more!
